BHARATEEYA STREE SHAKTI (THE SPIRIT OF BHARATH)

Some good and nice words, sentences, thoughts shared by elderly wise women to the younger generation women who are growing in an atmosphere where a lot of feminism influence has been invoked into them by the surrounding changes in the environment and is changing their focus and direction.

While the western feminism is changing their route, focus and direction towards Indian feministic values, sadly our youth has largely turned themselves towards the west since the decade or two.

At least, now, they have to be educated to go back to their roots, as the western women have realised their error and are coming forward to own the traditional roots which are actually very strong in our society.  So you can see them adopting and learning "yoga", "meditation", our classical art forms, "bhagwat geeta" etc.

"If a woman is educated, the family is educated, the society around is educated, in-turn the village, the town, the city, the country is educated and is nurtured" - "Atharvana veda says a married girl takes gnana sampada as her dowry" -
is what they all wanted to say.

KEY-NOTE ADDRESS: MANANEEYA GEETHA GUNDE
CHIEF GUEST: Smt P Madhavi
President:  Dr Sharada Kesiraju (Principal Reddy College)
Venue:  Reddy College for Girls, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad
Date:  16th March 2019

Mananeeya Geetha Gunde ji in her Key note address has given several instances from Atharvana vedam
in which it is written that - when a young lady was married and was going to her in-laws house she has to be sent with dowry - a smile, patience and gnana sampada.

But it is so much distorted in the society that somehow, somewhere time along it has become -  "dowry " became "money" and if that is not there, "torture".  The smile, patience is lost.  No "gnana sampada" is given, no education. This is because a girl would ask for her "rights", talk about her "self respect" her "self esteem" will increase and so man cannot have have authority.

So, in Vedas and puranas which are thousands of years ago, there is equality.

During discussion session Smt Ananta Lakshmi garu took up this point and said- if it has to be put, infact, a woman always was given a "higher seat" and was put above only.  So if it is talked as "equality" we are bringing them down.  It was thought that - instead bring "men up" so that they become equal rather than "women go down" to get equality.

As "Shakti" the goddess is always given higher plane - she is "mother" to a man and a woman also.  A mother always is above everything.  A mother only has patience, a mother only has understanding, a mother only has compassion towards the children.  A mother will not abandon the children. A mother is a protector of humanity.

Smt Somaraju Susheela garu in her short speech to introduce the day's speakers put forth a small story - when Lord Sri Rama was going to vanavaasa, Sita mata also said "i will go with you".  He says no and tells her that there will be cruel animals in forest and it is not a picnic that he is going.  She replies that - naatha, i know what a forest is, that there will be cruel animals, they can eat us, but you are there to project me.  A man has his family, friends, people in Kingdom to see and worry about, but it is only a wife who can see her husband's needs, wants and share with him all ups and downs in his life.  So I have the right to go with you and share all that good and bad that will come along in forest for the next 14 years.  Rama did not have any answer and agrees to take her.  So Sita fought for herself and her rights to go along and accompanies him.  So she said, no one will give you "rights", you have to "earn" and "take" them.
I have attached a small video below, you can listen a little more things that she has said.

Another Speaker - Headmistress of a school - she said that

Woman from Sita to now inter-graduate student varaku kuda - Woman status brings high respect because a woman always brings with her two things - whatever may happen to her inside, she buries everything and is seen as a being with -

a) Social consciousness - like a thread it is there underlying in whatever she does
b) Happiness being

Indian woman happiness quotient was calculated sometime ago as 14.6%.  Other countries much more. But now, they have taken it recently and found that it has reversed - 64.2% recent record n India and western world it is down.
While they measured they had been to Jammu - where bombing is going on all around -
- women in a temple were doing  bhajan peacefully, bombing is going next door.  When questioned they said - yes it is going on there, what can we do, we tell them not to do, they don't listen.  Let them do that, we do bhajan peacefully.
Thru ages, stable, stree or prakruti or happiness..... motherhood....maharaani status as per Vivekananda....all women in India are like queens so they hesitate to give shake hand was the answer he gave when someone asked him, why women in your country don't give shake hand.  He said, it seems, in your country all people do not go and give shake hand to your Queen, right.  So they said - she is Queen, they cannot touch her.  So he said in our country all women as queens, so no one can touch her.  She is a mother, she gives birth.  It is a "kshetram" (a precious place) for birth.  So is very precious and is not to be touched by anyone.  It is sacred.

She also said - Sita had another opportunity in which she herself chose what to do - Hanuma finds her under the banyan tree, he asks her to come along with him, he will keep her on his shoulders and take her away instantly.  She refuses, she tells him to take her jewelry as a token to Rama and asks him to come, fight Ravana and take her, as it is the right of her as his wife.

Another speaker - Veda Samhita garu said that -

Feminism started -  in a negative sense started during 1800 -1900 during french revolution. Yet again,
1900-2000 right to vote, sacred sanatana dharma started taking up the cause and became better.
2000-2100 modern feminists, vital parts disintegration etc (like Astadasa shakti peethas) awareness is coming to protect the womanhood.  There are only three genders as per our common knowledge, but as per economic, social and other it is thought, currently there are - using Lgbgq - 16 genders in the globalization process.
3 Wave formulation and Effect of globalization and feminism and communism, etc.
International hizab day is being celebrated now.  Is it necessary? is the question asked. In India a woman can move freely without fear unlike in other countries. Unfortunately in the western Feminism brings single mothers and broken families, living partners etc.
All that can be avoided, if only the family system in India is practiced, independence can be there to a woman with all other responsibilities too.

Another speaker - a Telugu pandit who worked as a lecturer for several years and retired - said Shakuntala whom King Dushyant married as a gandharva vivaha, did not budge but has a boy through whom she convinces King Dushyant and reunites.

During an hour discussion after lunch many women have given their opinions, given advise to youngsters present in the meeting -
1.  the "strength as a woman and liberation" - does not mean - wearing pant & shirt like a man or go and have sex freely like a man or behave authoritatively like a man.
2.  They said - we also had boys in our classes, but they all would sit one side and we all would sit on another side. We all would discuss, talk, go to seminars, go to movies, go to picnics.  But never did we touch each other or allow them to exploit us.  We still have them to come to our houses and we go to theirs, etc.  It was all very in a healthy atmosphere.  Not like now, where a girl will go and sit in between two boys.  They only take advantage of the girl.
3.  One lady directly said that - during that teenage time, it feels good when someone touches you and it is a pleasure for that moment, but only until you have a baby.  After that, no more such pleasure is gained.  It is the "shareera dharma".
4.  So kindly do not allow anyone to touch you or pet you.  Tell them to go and get a proper job, support and then if they are really interested to protect you, respect you and look after you for life, they can come.
5.  They also said - we are giving degrees after degrees, but we are not finding time to tell them how to keep themselves safe and not fall into the hands of these rakshasas around them.  We must tell them first to take care of themselves and then only go ahead to do anything.  Anything only after their personal protection of their body. For it is more a mental, emotional and psychological factor and not a physical act alone.

6.  I had forgotten to write:  They also said that - Of late in society, unlike earlier time - where a student was sent to a "gurukula where the teacher or guru will guide the student for the next 14-16 years and send them into the society after a brief training period" - now a days.  Students see the teachers or guru as a "paid employee"  where the fee paid by them to the institution is given as salary to the teacher.  So they are NOT obligated to the teacher and the teacher is NO LONGER a GURU to them and so do not respect them.
SO THE ONUS OF TRAINING A STUDENT AND PUTTING HIM/HER IN RIGHT PATH FELL ON THE SHOULDERS OF MOTHER.  SO A MOTHER'S ROLE HAS TRIPLED - HOUSE WIFE OR HOME MAKER, A PROFESSIONAL AND ALSO A TEACHER OR GURU TO THE CHILDREN.  MAN HAS LITTLE ROLE IN THESE.
